Vata Dosha (that which moves things, Air/Ether)

air is like wind, creating mobile, cold and dry qualities

ether is like empty space, creating light, clear, and subtle qualities

Creative, organized, flexible, net worker, disciplined, spiritual aspirations, adaptability, quick to learn, quick to forget, very precise, when grounded likes to share information.

Imbalanced mind

Restless, scattered, rigid, over-active, insomnia, paranoid, impressionable, easily influenced, anxiety, indecision, fear.

Healthy body

Prime force of the nervous system, controlling both sensory and mental balance, mental adaptability, and understanding. Light in body pretty active enjoying beautiful movements with coordination, needs jobs that do not involve extreme physical activities.

Imbalanced Body

Grinding teeth, dry skin, mouth, hair, nails, cold extremities, hardening of stool, cracking joints, nerve issues, craves dry crispy, crunchy, carbonation, and caffeine.

Governs the hollow organs

Characteristics

Critical, opinionated, resentment (unresolved anger), judgmental, anger, envy, excess exercise, unhealthy competition, need to control, short temper, sharp words, manipulative.

Healthy body

Powerful assimilation and absorption actions in the body, solid digestion, passes stools regularly, strong stamina and will power, perspires heavily, emits strong body odor, strong appetite, ample sex drive.

Low self-esteem, overly sensitive, self-pity, depression, melancholy, greed, grief, attachment, nurtures everybody but self, secretive, needy.


Healthy body

Earthly survival, ruled by sense of taste and smell, nourishment, growth, lubrication, regeneration, fluid balance, fat regulation, strength, stamina, memory. skin is smooth and thick, beautiful hair, skin, complexion, abundance of ojas, steady in bed.


Imbalanced body

Creates excess mucus, lethargy, dullness, lack of motivation, excess weight, congestion, bloating, gas, loss of energy, over eating/sleeping, eating with guilt, craves dairy, sugar, salt, breads


Governs the organs of water works

cardiovascular, kidney, bladder, pericardium, circulation
